Founded in 2017 we are a small group of students and professors committed to making science more accessible. We take advantage of modern technology to create innovative new products that enable students to better understand hard concepts and excel in the lab as well as produce quality inexpensive laboratory equipment. Based out of central Florida we strive to keep as much of our production in the U.S.A. as possible; all our design, filament, 3D printing, and assembly are American made. As fans of the open source and maker movements we will make select products open source.
Microscope Photography Cylinder
The Microscope Photography Cylinder (MPC), patent pending, is a device that facilitates photography through the ocular lens of a microscope via a mobile device with speed and ease. Once the slide is focused just put the cylinder over the lens, center your phone on the device, then snap the photo. The device takes all the guess and stability work away from the user creating a quick and hassle-free experience without spending an exorbitant amount of money on a microscope camera. Each device is specific to the lens system it was designed for and are not interchangeable. If the lens is parfocal the device will work across all magnifications, however, if the lens is not parfocal it will not work across every magnification. We are currently only offering these locally, we will expand to online sales soon. If you are in the central Florida area we can come take measurements on your microscope to create a cylinder for you. If you would like to purchase a cylinder or discuss scheduling a measurement you can reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the Works
We are currently working on producing quality inexpensive sensors for education, research, and commercial uses as well as interactive educational models for subjects such as physiology, physics, and chemistry.
